Feb 21 to March 2. JPi hotel is a gem located in the town of San Pedro. You will have the best view of the Island as it bears mountain, ocean and planes landing on the airport. Jean Pierre the owner is your guest relation rep, the cook, your guide, etc... At night, you will enjoy the sounds of the ocean and you can safely vent around with the locals. It offers a more reserved stay from the noise of the main city Mindelo. Transportation is a bit lacking in and out but renting a car will solve that issue. Breakfast was excellent and local restaurants also offer great menus.

Christina was super friendly and helpful during our entire stay and kept herself available throughout our visit. The rooftop patio and accessible fridge/kitchen space was super convenient during our stay as well.

Offering a terrace and views of the sea, Maderal is set in Mindelo in the Sao Vicente Region. Free private parking is available on site. Some rooms feature a seating area where you can relax. Very clean place with comfortable bed. Location is in a quiet area, about 20 mins walking distance from the ferry and 10 mins to the center. Filomena, the owner, is amazing!! We were only there for one night before our ferry to Santo Antão but when we went back to Sao Vicente she let us leave our luggage there while we explored the city and then let us take a shower!! Highly recommend!

Thierry our host was very easy to communicate with as soon as we had made the booking. He offered us an early check-in which we were grateful for. He is a nice friendly host and resides nearby. He invited us to shout out if we needed anything. I liked that he was nearby. Everything was fine, we didn't need anything. Our main requirements were fast and strong wifi and a washing machine. We got both which was fantastic. The apartment is very big and spacious. It is decorated with murals on the wall and it is bright and colourful with some lovely artworks which adds to the individual charm and character of this property. The 2 double rooms are king sized with plenty of storage and there is 1 single bedroom. The beds are king sized and they are very comfortable. There is a large open plan dining room with a 6 seater dining table and then a separate area with seating for 4 and a coffee table and then another table with bar stools. Adjoining is a lounge room with a big leather L-shaped lounge with tv. We didn't use the TV but we did lie on the big lounge. There is a small alfresco area with a chair. There is no aircon here and it was hot but we had the alfresco door and the windows in the dining room open and these fabulous Mondelo winds just blew coolness right through the property - so much nicer than aircon! BONUS - there is a hammock in the dining room that we spent alot of time in! The kitchen is spacious and well equipped to self cater, large fridge and gas stove with oven, we used the oven to heat up pizza which was very handy. There is also a great toaster! The bathroom has a shower over the bath, toilet, washing machine and hand basin with mirror. The location is only a few minutes walk from downtown, uphill on the way to and downhill on the way from. Good exercise! And supermercado is a few minutes walk away.
