The staff was very friendly as always, Jay and Yvonne were especially helpful along with the other staff. Have to mention the cleaning lady who does an exceptional job every day, making it a pleasure to return to the room, after site seeing. The location is very convenient and was among the historical Hutongs and alleyways of Qianliang. As an architect therefore the location was really interesting. It is also close to all the important city destinations, cafes, restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy, bus halts and the National Art museum subway station.

Transport from and back to Beijing was great, comfortable and convenient! The room and the guesthouse were immaculately clean. The food was just AMAZING! I literally loved everything. MUCH MUCH BETTER than a 5 start hotel in my opinion. Highly recommended.

This was such a special and unique experience to stay at a family homestay near the Great Wall. They went out of their way to help you, plan your trip, organize tickets, and everything. The translation apps work perfectly for communication! The food was out of this world. It was by far the best food we had in China! Grandma's homecooked meals were so delicious and so big...we wished we could have finished the plates, but we were so full! Nobody has to worry about being hungry at the Great Wall. The portions are so big. We had breakfast and dinner and it was the best. This family takes care of you so well. They pick you up, drop you off and just do everything you need. Thank you so much for everything!

Situated in Miyun, just 50 metres away from the Great Wall, this friendly hostel features modern architecture, free Wi-Fi and free parking. Nestled in the laid-back Gubeikou Town, the single-storey house would be a warm base to explore the wild Beijing. There is only one word that can describe this place: Paradise. I have travelled many countries, and it was at this small little inn in the middle of nowhere that left an everlasting impression. The innkeeper, Xiao Wei, is the most wonderful innkeeper in all of China. She cooks for you like you would expect growing up in an Asian household. The proximity of the place to your own secret 20km length of the Great Wall is the main selling point. In my 4 days here, I went up the wall 3 times because the wall is just in the backyard of this inn. Pretty insane! I also met lovely people while staying there. Chances are, the people that are willing to come all the way out here to Gubeijou will also be very lovely to other guests. I cannot stress how willing I am to return to this inn for a quick getaway whenever life gets tough.

It is also near the Dongzhimen transportation hub, which provides an easy way to explore the city. The hotel was peak luxury, its right by the train station to Capital airport and a bunch of shopping/food in the mall, the view is incredible. The amenities are crazy amazing. They give you detergent, an umbrella, robes, toothbrush..... it's incredible. Most hotels would upcharge but no, everything is given to you! they treat you like royalty!
