The room was spacious and comfortable, equipped with a washer and dryer, very clean, and the staff were incredibly kind and always willing to assist us throughout our visit. I absolutely recommend this hotel, it turned out to be a wonderful discovery on our trip to China.

There is a supermarket (WuMart) nearby. Getting to/from the airport (PEK) by metro was fast. The lodging was modern, clean and very comfortable. The cleaning staff did a great job. My room was cleaned everyday. Free espresso-type coffee and some teas at the lobby. I could use a washing machine in my room.

If you want to stay in this village (probably because you want to visit the Great Wall) this is the place to be. Tasteful interior, large, bright and quiet rooms (Deluxe category we stayed in) with a comfy bed. Very good food for dinner and breakfast. It is only a 5min walk to the Great Wall cable car. The hosts arranged our tickets for a 8 a.m. start which is highly recommended to avoid the massive crowds a few hours later. The genuine hospitality of the family running the place makes the difference.

Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Everything. Clear fast communication, the owner speaks English and organized everything for me in great detail. Transport from and back to Beijing was great, comfortable and convenient! The room and the guesthouse were immaculately clean. The food was just AMAZING! I literally loved everything. MUCH MUCH BETTER than a 5 start hotel in my opinion. Highly recommended.

Nestled in the laid-back Gubeikou Town, the single-storey house would be a warm base to explore the wild Beijing. There is only one word that can describe this place: Paradise. I have travelled many countries, and it was at this small little inn in the middle of nowhere that left an everlasting impression. The innkeeper, Xiao Wei, is the most wonderful innkeeper in all of China. She cooks for you like you would expect growing up in an Asian household. The proximity of the place to your own secret 20km length of the Great Wall is the main selling point. In my 4 days here, I went up the wall 3 times because the wall is just in the backyard of this inn. Pretty insane! I also met lovely people while staying there. Chances are, the people that are willing to come all the way out here to Gubeijou will also be very lovely to other guests. I cannot stress how willing I am to return to this inn for a quick getaway whenever life gets tough.
