There's a cosy and friendly bar/pub, Het Sooke at Hoogstraat 59, only a short walk away. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars nearby and throughout the centre. The apartment is modern, bright and airy, with views towards the river. It is well situated, being a short stroll from the historic city centre, and a 20 minute walk from the station (metro available too). It's also close to the foot tunnel under the river.
