Free breakfast included! Lovely place with beach 100 meters away that has huge crashing waves. Everyone says hello in the area. Truly a nice part of Vietnam and a great homestay.

I have enjoyed several homestays while traveling in Vietnam. All were positive experiences, but this one was extra special thanks to the authentic welcoming spirit of the host family. They several times invited me to join them for their family meal, and even included me in a family picnic! Several family members speak English, which was a big plus for me, but even those who did not speak English made me feel welcome. Watch out for Grandfather's excellent quality homemade liqueur if he happens to offer it! To be clear, even though they were happy to include me, I always had as much privacy as I wanted. I also loved the spirit of the Golden Lantern itself. It was both a vibrant family home, but also an 11-room hotel that seemed to whisper of long-past childhood beach holidays. On a practical level, they assisted me with such things as motorbike rental, transport services to the train station, etc.

The manager was very kind and helped us out a lot. We needed to cut our stay short (due to noise) and the manager understood and didn't make any fuss, just charged us for the usage we had. Very easy to communicate with and replies quickly to messages through booking.com The location is out of the city a bit, but it's what we wanted to this is a positive for us. The building is very new, clean and comfortable
