Lovely little place nestled in the trees only a short motor bike ride away from the township, they have motorbikes there to hire . Henry our host was awsum very friendly and there always to help . Great pool area to relax by .

I had a great stay at Napoli Hostel. Even before I arrived there I spoke with the receptionist and she gave me a lot of useful tips about visiting Cat Ba. When I got there she greeted me with a smile and a very good service. The place was really clean, in a good and central location and with a quiet and peaceful environment. There was also a pool table in the lobby, great place to spend some time and make some friends. I chose the option with breakfast included and I'm glad I did. For breakfast I could choose between 7 sets of meals, a drink and some seasonal fruits. Everything was great! Great value for the price! I highly recommend choosing Napoli Hostel for staying in Cat Ba.

Exotic, unique, mind blowing. We stayed only one night, but would recommend two. The staff staying on board speaks very little English, but are super friendly and cooks very good food.

A dozen cabins furnished in zen-like simplicity surrounding a beautiful garden landscape. Peaceful and quiet, just a few kilometres from town. Cleanliness is top, good wifi covererage all over the place. Bike rental and free bicycles. Owned and run by a wonderful friendly and helpful family. Owner speaks english. I had booked for three days but ended up staying much longer. Highly recommendable.

The place was lovely, a beautiful garden in the middle of nowhere. I preferred this to Cat Ba city, since there are big works happening there. It’s not super easy to reach, and apparently the Homestay suggested against the public boat that passes twice a day (I didn’t really saw it actually). However, even if more costly, the speed boat was nice. I told Chilly my plan was to take the public boat to have a longer trip across the islands and he extended the speedboat trip to give me the same experience, which was really nice! The food was very good and I took the day long trip in the boat. The guide was amazing and the cocktails too. I also went for a night trip with the kayak to see the bioluminescence, and it was far more beautiful than I expected. Even if I was on a budget, I’m happy I spent some more money for that, these are great memories.

The plan was to spend there the first night in Cat Ba and we ended up spending there 4 nights. The family running it are soooo nice. They have a small restaurant for the guests which is pretty convenient, and the homestay is located right in the middle of the island, surrounded by nature, but they rent motorbikes so you can explore this beautiful place. The rooms are so much better than we expected and they clean it every day. The best hostel that we've stayed in Vietnam so far!
