Good alternative to staying in Ogunquit if you don’t mind being a short drive away (which means paying for parking when visiting Ogunquit). Our cottage #184 was a comfortable size for 4 adults and 2 toddlers. The kids enjoyed the playground near the country store a lot! Did not get to interact with the staff since we checked in and checked out after hours.. But one of the staff called us on the day of arrival to check what time we’d be arriving and ensured that our linens and towels were ready in the cottage, which I appreciated deeply!

We really enjoyed staying at Waldo Emerson Inn. Hosts, Amelia and Ron, were very welcoming and kind. The room was so nice,with a very confortable bed. We enjoyed home- cooked breakfast and to borrow bikes to ride around that fantastic place.

The room was incredibly clean, and the small kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. We stayed in the fall, and besides the complimentary coffee, they also offered hot apple cider, which was absolutely delicious. We really enjoyed our stay at The Lady Mary Inn at Hurd Manor for four days. The inn was really close to Ogunquit, Kennebunk and Kennebunkport so there was plenty to do in the area. Mornings with Ryan and his two boxers, Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh were always a delight. We even had afternoon tea on Sunday and met a very nice friend of Ryan's named Machelle (sp??) who was just fun to be around. It was my birthday weekend and It was just nice and relaxing and a perfect place for antiquing. Many, many shops to visit!
