Everything was very clean and nice. Studio is quite small but cozy and for two days it was enough. We didn't cook so I can't tell how it would be if we did. Bathroom is nice and spacious. We booked studio on 2nd floor but the owner gave us 3rd floor for a better view.

This apartment is a real gem. Everything was so clean and seemed brand new. Compact but light, airy and modern. Amazing location, right up by the castle on top of a hill - but just 5 minutes walk down into the beautiful old town. We were lucky and could park every time up by the castle, but there are very few parking spaces and very narrow streets (rent a small car!). Very friendly owners and a warm welcome. One of the best places we have stayed on our travels.

The quinta has been in the family for generations and renovated beautifully. The modern touches blend very well with the traditional features of this family home. The owners, Ruy and Leonor, actually live on the top floor of the quinta with the six private rooms, kitchen, common area, balcony and pool built around it. The locatiion is beautiful. The quinta is in the middle of a working vineyard with sweeping views of the slopes. Instagram-worthy! The Quinta looks exactly like the pictures on the booking site. The rooms were super-clean with modern furnishings and an exstremely comfortable bed. The kitchen and dining area was modern but traditional touches were kept specifically the stonework and the huge walk-in fireplace. Manuela, the cook, kept the entire facility super-clean. She cooked us breakfast our first day which was delicious along with fruits picked from the garden. She was so sweet and kind, and the day we left, she prepared an early breakfast the night before as we had to drive back to Porto very early to make our flight. We also had a great wine-tasting session with Ruy who let us sample a vintage port made by his grandfather which was delicious. Over excellent wine and warm companionship, we all had a great evening and a wonderful two nights stay at Quinta da Salada. I absolutely recommend Ruy and Leonor's home and have done so to two other couples planning a trip to Duoro Valley.

The artfully gorgeous renovated building is ideally located within the small town, a 5 min walk from everything that is a must see. The views of the city are magnificant, as well as the hosts that will do everything for you to feel welcomed. The breakfast is rich and so satisfying. We got here during a festival when the city was so vibrant and full of life and joy. We loved Portugal from our first visit, even more after this 6th trip.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The charming stone walls and the serene, picturesque landscape made it a truly relaxing retreat. The kitchen was spacious and beautifully designed, with heritage elements that added so much character to the space. What stood out most was the exceptional service. The team was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond in helping us arrange transfers from Porto and to Coimbra, as well as local transport around the area. Their support made our trip smooth and stress-free. My family also thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting experience offered during our stay. Highly recommended—we would gladly return!
