I recently had the pleasure of staying at Magnolia Cottage, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The breakfast each morning was exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It was the perfect way to start each day! Ann, the host, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. She was incredibly accommodating and always available to assist with anything we needed. Honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Magnolia Cottage for anyone looking for a private relaxing and welcoming getaway! Will definitely be my go-to when I'm in the area!

Amazing stay in this apartment! Very clean. It has all sorts of lovely art-deco design details and modern facilities; a great kitchen, warm mood lighting (hue customisable), high quality furniture, tv, wifi, everything you need to feel at home. Great view of the Bay and close to city centre. Private parking for your car (garage with lock). Truly a gem, do not hesitate to book.

We spent a delightful couple of days at this very welcoming B and B. It was an easy walk across to Caroline Bay, where you can see little blue penguins coming in at dusk, or up to the main street of Timaru. Our room was quite luxurious and came with its own bathroom with spa bath; and the breakfasts were delicious, full English ones. But best of all was the very warm welcome from our hosts Claire and Lindsay, who were a fount of information about the local area and a source of great conversation. Nelson Heights Bed and Breakfast is a wonderful example of why people choose to stay at B and Bs rather than impersonal hotels; we couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
