Incredible views right across the sea to the Coromandel Peninsula. The room is a very good size, with an extremely comfortable bed. This is a rural retreat, a long way from amenities and restaurants, and a farm stay, with chickens running around in the garden outside. So if you are looking for a very relaxing retreat, to unwind and soak up the views, and are happy to cook for yourself a bit (double halogen hob, microwave, full size fridge freezer) with friendly hosts then I can warmly recommend this lovely place. If you want shopping and restaurants on your doorstep, or are phobic of birds, then this wouldn't be the place for you. Oh, I nearly forgot to mention the hot tub! And the amazing expanse of the stars at night! I loved it!

Hands down one of the best places we stayed at. The hosts are great, makes you feel like you are home. Gorgeous views from self-contained cottage. Well appointed kitchen. Comfy beds. Hot showers with great water pressure. Luxurious breakfast. A little start-gazing from this quiet area a few minutes out of town. Anna-Marie was a wonderful warm friendly host. Would go back there!
