This is a special place with so much history. It was the warmest welcome we received in New Zealand from our excellent hosts. This is an ideal place to stay for joining a boat trip to Doubtful Sound (5 minutes walk away) or a short drive to Te Anau.

We liked the breakfast and the host was very friendly. The room was more cosy than other properties of similar price point - it is a B&B rather than motel. It's an easy walk into town and you can park the car onsite.

Location was perfect. Quick response time from property manager. Black Dog restaurant downstairs had great food / drink options and the staff were amazing there.

very​ very​ very​ high​ reccomended!! staff​s​ are​ very​ nice, smooth​ communicate​d, fast​ check-in. Room​ is​ very​ clean​ and​ comfortable.​ There​ is​ electric-blanket in​ bed!
