If you go to Battambang make sure to book your stay with Bun and also do a TukTuk daytrip with him! The full day tour was THE highligh of my stay in Cambodia - we learnd so much about the daily life while also getting to see the main attractions. His beautiful Guesthouse is a little outside of town (10-12min walk), but he offers bicycles and will organize transport to and from the busstation. The stay was very enjoyable!

Such a nice welcoming family hosting this place! Special thanks to the brother and sister who could speak good English and were so helpful. They even gave us a tour around the little town and drove us to see a bird nest factory from the inside. Such a highlight that you can only get by staying in a home stay such as this one. The food was also delicious! And they could also do the laundry, so all necessary services. We also rented a scooter with them which was in great state.

If you want to escape the bustling of the city and experience rural Cambodian life, look no further. This homestay is truly peaceful and within walking distance to the Batcave. The hut is of course a bit rustic but very charming, and the bed is quite comfortable! The hosts even prepares vegan breakfast and dinner (small extra charge) for us, including fruit from the garden, and we had a communal dinner with the other guests and the owner. The owner was always kind and helpful and we had wonderful conversations. Truly a place to unwind and experience Cambodian rural life. Free water and refills.

I've been to Battambang few times and stayed in different places, but this is my favorite one so far. Even though I rarely sacrifice my comfort, this place (with it's Khmer style bath tub:) is totally worth it. It's very well taken care of, everything is very clean, bedsheets, towels, curtains are always extremely fresh. It's surrounded by the lavish garden and is very peaceful and relaxing. Also, the owner and the whole family are very polite and helpful.

This was my second stay of 13 nights at the Lux Guesthouse; last time was in February 2024. Was allocated Room 3001 initially, but the air conditioner wasn't working. Was moved into 3002 which was a better room as it had a double bed and a single. I used the single to lay out my belongings as there is no wardrobe. Large room and good bathroom. Room was serviced about 7 times this visit. Love the access to the swimming pool at the Villa Lux Hotel.
