The hotel is simple but nice for relaxing after an ocean safari. The room was clean (no insects). There is an outdoor terrace. The staff was nice and warm. The water pressure in the shower was low, but that’s normal for Africa. In addition, there is no water on the island, they use rainwater and bring water from the mainland for drinking. The food was delicious – fish, crab, prawns, etc. The hotel is not on the ocean, the hotel is on the second line. We went to the hotel because we wanted an ocean safari. The hotel manager Ally organized a very nice full day ocean safari – coconut crab island, dolphin tour, coral gardens and also a small island tour. Ally also organized a transfer – by tuk-tuk from the highway to Shimoni port and then by boat from Shimoni to Wasini Island. I recommend it if you want an ocean vacation.

I loved Bottle Cottage! The setting is wonderful - with a large private balcony with water views. And the cottage itself is really gorgeous - uniquely decorated and extremely spacious - the pictures don't do it justice. I especially loved the sea-creature themed bottle windows. I also liked knowing that my stay contributed to Reefolution - an organization that is leading coral reef restoration with the local communities. The Cottage is in the Firely Eco Retreat so you have all the amenities you need - restaurant, large pool - and the staff are so friendly and helpful. For divers and snorkelers, you can catch the boat to the Marine Park right from the jetty in front. I highly recommend this place!

Superb hospitality. Noel is extremely helpful and he gave us a ride into town and back whenever he could, which was often. The fact that it's a little ways away didn't bother us at all. The cottage was cosy, clean and spacious enough. Quiet too. Enjoyed the garden space and dining area. We are vegans, and the breakfast we got exceeded expectations, since they had to be creative just for us! A lot of thought went into that - thanks! Great value for money overall. We ended up extending our stay haha. Oh, and he helped organise our covid tests before our onward journey, which was super convenient.
