The service and room was very good. When we called from the train station near by, the hotel fixed shuttle bus for us, which was very helpful. It was very good for family with small children as well. We all enjoy very much together. The view from the room was excellent.

The room (I had the basic level option) was gigantic for Japan, with a huge picture window and a view to die for. To say I was blown away upon arrival would be an understatement. The hotel is spacious and uncrowded. I suspect it caters almost exclusively to the Japanese market so some instructions were on rather informal notes, or simply only in Japanese. The rate is breakfast and dinner included but also includes unlimited alcohol from 7pm and coffee/tea/refreshments all day with an icecream bar in the late morning and afternoon. The silence and sleep quality was superb as was the bathroom with shower.

Amazing location - we walked short distances to everything. The property is huge and they have thought of everything - even gym and and warming blankets!

The friendly host was exceptionally kind and helpful. The property is located in the calm and cosy traditional Japanese neighbourhood with an access to the beach within mins. The sunrise from the nearby wharf was superb and is worth getting up early.

From checking in to checking out the process was excellent. All relevant information was provided verbal and written on a hotel brochure in English and Japanese. Buffet breakfast and dinner were included in the price and buffets were very good. Location from Takenouchi station was about 800 metres from the hotel. The onsen was very good. There was welcoming drinks 🍸 from 1400hrs to 2300hrs. In the morning there was soft drinks and coffee. The area was very quiet and peaceful. The hotel did provide a shuttle service to the Matsushima station at certain times.

This local ryokan has real character, decorated from walls to ceiling with colourful posters and various toys of Japan, from classic to manga. The manager couple are just as nice. She had written out a welcome with basic information in Spanish for me, as my reservation shows it as country of origin. The room is comfortable, complete with towel and pyjamas, plus a water kettle and cup with teabags. If you're on foot, it's 27 min to Ishinomaki station and 18 min to Haneda station- the latter gets you the Matsushima-Kaigan.

Guest house andarmo, a property with a garden, is situated in Wakuya, 32 km from Shiogama Shrine, 47 km from Sendai City Community Support Center, as well as 23 km from Entsuin Temple.

Very nice facilities and kind hosts. It is really close to Wakuya station, so its convenient to use it as a base for sightseeing around the area. I will definetly be back if I have the chance.

Very spacious house with wonderful views and a nice background garden. Furbished with a traditional tea house as well. Wonderful experience as the tea master host offers a traditional tea tasting ceremony (with instructions on etiquette)! The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Enjoyed the free parking, amenities, shower etc. Well furnished and kept. Host was very friendly and would offer to send us off. I enjoyed living with sliding doors, and literally visiting someone’s home.
