The room is dark enough at night. I had the most deep sleep during the trip. It’s cozy place. The owner is always welcoming you at the door, feeling safe with his presence. He is a warm and nice guy. He helped me to take the heavy luggage upstairs. It’s close to the sightseeing temples in a walkable distance.There is a restaurant open until 8pm nearby. Convenient place.

It exceeded my expectations. Breakfast and dinner are very good, well prepared, and delicious. Best location to see the Matsushima gulf and the bridge with the sun rises from our room (411).

Amazing location - we walked short distances to everything. The property is huge and they have thought of everything - even gym and and warming blankets!

Everything is amazing. It is expensive, but you get what you pay. I recommend staying for at least 2 nights. I stayed for only one night, and I think I could have enjoyed more (like the gardens and the free rental bike service) if I had more time. Having said that,I thoroughly enjoyed my bedroom, the lounge, restaurant, the baths. The free all you can eat ice cream in the lounge was also a positive surprise.

From checking in to checking out the process was excellent. All relevant information was provided verbal and written on a hotel brochure in English and Japanese. Buffet breakfast and dinner were included in the price and buffets were very good. Location from Takenouchi station was about 800 metres from the hotel. The onsen was very good. There was welcoming drinks 🍸 from 1400hrs to 2300hrs. In the morning there was soft drinks and coffee. The area was very quiet and peaceful. The hotel did provide a shuttle service to the Matsushima station at certain times.

The two people running this were lovely 💕 I had a great stay. Great super market nearby, which had good quality products to eat in the evening. Also, a short morning walk to visit Cat Island in the morning and then I visited the Manga Musuem. The room itself was clean, large and Japanese style, which I enjoyed. One of my favorite stays in 30 days of being in Japan.

This local ryokan has real character, decorated from walls to ceiling with colourful posters and various toys of Japan, from classic to manga. The manager couple are just as nice. She had written out a welcome with basic information in Spanish for me, as my reservation shows it as country of origin. The room is comfortable, complete with towel and pyjamas, plus a water kettle and cup with teabags. If you're on foot, it's 27 min to Ishinomaki station and 18 min to Haneda station- the latter gets you the Matsushima-Kaigan.

Beautiful place, very nice hosts and very clean facilities. I found wonderful company and I spent a memorable evening with them.

The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The host, although speaking limited English, was superlatively hospitable and did his absolute utmost to guide us through the traditional tea ceremony. It was also so very appreciated that we were able to bring our pet!

Set 10 km from Shiogama Shrine, Traveler's Wharf Shichigahama offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a garden and a bar. Private parking is available on site.
