Excellent Host. Carmay, the owner makes you feel welcomed the moment you checked in. He offered to pick us up from the train station. There was no need as we drove. Parking was free which was a bonus. Carmay cooked a tasty breakfast, ingredients brought in fresh from his farm. He even provided us with fresh spring water. He also gave us tips where to visit and gave us an excellent suggestion to drive the Shirawago White Road to Tayayama. Since we were only 2 friends in the apartment, the place felt like a house - it had a lot of space for our clothes and luggage and it had a nice flow (the kitchen with the dinning room in the center and bedrooms that could be divided with a wall). We really liked the fact that the apartment came with a rice cooker and a toaster/oven! The bathroom was well equipt, the washing and drying machine were a bonus. Another bonus is definitely the fact that the apartment is really close to Kanazawa station and the market, so be sure to walk there at least once.

Loved our stay here, the room was spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. We were met by the owner who was very kind and informative and he talked us through the distances to the various sights in Kanazawa, which were all walkable and were truly beautiful. The accommodation itself was modern yet traditional, and we appreciated the kitchen and the washing machine as well! There are also restaurants within 5 mins easy walk.

The host (Hitty) was there in person to welcome us and to provide info on the house and on Kanazawa. He has been extremely kind and available, and we felt as we were guests in a friend's home. The house is wonderful and full of history having been the house of a samurai (as Hitty explained us) but is also well equipped, well kept and clean. Highly recommended, for sure the best and the most welcoming host I have met in several years.
