During our stay at Bettei Haruki, we were delighted by its prime location, just a short walk from some of Beppu’s most beautiful onsens. The ryokan itself offers private onsen facilities, providing a serene and intimate bathing experience. The highlight of our visit was the exquisite dinner—each dish was a culinary masterpiece, showcasing the finest local ingredients. The warm hospitality of our hosts, Riyota and Mori, made us feel truly welcome and added a personal touch to our stay. Our stay at Kannawaen was such a uniqe experience. We booked the room "Take", and it was so worth it having our own pool and other baths. Booked it with dinner and breakfast, and the dinner was one of the best we had on our trip to Japan. It was worth the splurge! Would come back again. We also got a present of two bottles of fine wine for free when we checked out. The hotel is also right beside the Beppu Hells.

The villa and maisonette experience was extraordinary, as both properties have unique views. The maisonette has lovely sea view and the villa has a beautiful small Japanese garden. Both properties are very private and the amenities are excellent. Although our stay was expensive in our view, it is worth the experience and we would love to return to this property again. We also love the private onsen which we used day and night and also we enjoyed wearing the traditional yukata and the thick overcoat which kept us warm during the buggy ride to the gahama seikai tower for breakfast. The breakfast spread was also very good. The housekeeper managed to retrieve my ear stud back button when i told them i lost it. Thank you for the wonderful service!

The Japanese room that we stayed has a private bath. The balcony view from the room is breathtaking overlooking the city and Beppu Bay The hotel offers 4 family bath free to use in addition to the public bath was a big plus point. My wife and I had a wonderful and relaxing stay at the hotel. The services provided by the staff was top notch with Japanese hospitality in every aspect.

The staff were super friendly and extremely helpful! The common room was spacious, quiet and stylish and they had coffee, tea, milk and so on. Our room was huge, clean and comfortable and when my friend left they let me stay in the same room even though I was supposed to move to a bed in the dormitory. On the last day, they kept my bag until I came back before going to the airport.

I booked the deluxe family room. It was clean and big enough for 3 of us (we opened all luggage and placed them on the floor throughout the stay). Location wise, it was so near to Don Quijote and many restaurants within walking distance. We even drove to Yufuin Village which is less than half an hour.

The owner Miho (?) is absolutely amazing, she made us feel super welcomed and spoiled. The location is great, walking distance to many of the attractions, right in the middle of the village. She left onsen boiled eggs at our door every morning. Couldn’t ask for more!
