Our stay at Amma Jóna was a highlight of our trip. The cottage was lovely and the surrounding beautiful. The hosts were very nice and recommended a beautiful trail along a canyon which started right at the cottage. We would definitely recommend to stay at Amma Jóna cottage.

The scenery outside is magnificent! Best place I’ve been so far! You can see northern lights right outside the place. Every morning there are 2 dogs named Pablo and Beychel will show up at your door to play with you which were so cute! They are really well trained too!

Communication before our arrival was excellent. We were checking out early the next morning, before breakfast was served so they prepared a breakfast for us to go, which was very thoughtful and much appreciated! The self check in very useful because it doesnt put a time pressure on when you have to arrive. The communal lounge area is rustic and tasteful. Loved that they provide a proper coffee machine! The shared bathroom was perfectly clean.
