I don’t even know where to begin. I loved every single part of my stay here. The couple living here made me feel like I was a part of their family. The wife cooked me all my meals which were not only cheap but also so delicious. They made sure I was okay and I felt safe all the time. Besides they helped me with my further travels so I was prepared for the next step. I had a lot of conversations with the wife, and even tough her English is not the best, it was a joy. There is really not much to do on Monroe Island, but the husband of the family helped me with a bike and a kayak. My deepest thanks to the both of you!

Our stay at Mundro Garden Homestay was amazing. Deepa and her family were so welcoming and kind. We were always greeted with a smile and a positive attitude. The room was very comfortable and clean and was located in a nice quiet, private corner of the garden. The table and chairs outside offered a great space to relax and eat meals. The homestay offers bicycle rental at a very reasonable 200 rupees per day. The food prepared every day was amazing! Everything we ate was delicious, and we enjoyed trying all of the local Keralan dishes that Deepa and her family made. You must also take the boat tour, it really showcases the beauty of the island. Overall, we absolutely love this homestay and will definitely return if we come back to Kerala!

The wellcoming from Sajeev and Vijayan was fantastic. We had access to all of the amenities in the house and they provided us with great advice to really enjoy our stay in Varkala. Sharing breakfast with them was great time to talk and learn a bit more about the place and ways to reach our next destination. The level of service was outstanding and they really cared for us during our stay in Madhav Mansion. We would highly recommend it! We had the most wonderful stay at Kailasam Homestay, hosted by the lovely family of Kala, Akhil, Roshni, and their adorable son Aayansh. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The location is perfect—peaceful, scenic, and truly allows you to unwind. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained. But what made our stay truly special was the warmth and hospitality of our hosts. Kala's cooking was exceptional—every meal was a delight, full of authentic Kerala flavors. Beyond just providing a great stay, they went above and beyond for us. When I had a minor flu, they kindly took me to the hospital, which I truly appreciated. They also arranged all our activities seamlessly and ensured our pick-up and drop-off from the nearest station were taken care of. All in all, this was the best time we had in Kerala, and we can't recommend this homestay enough. If you're looking for a place that offers comfort, great food, and amazing hosts, this is the one! We’ll definitely be back!!

The property is right in the cliffs with beautiful ocean views. Just far enough from the restaurants and shops to be tranquil, but close enough to hop on a tuk-tuk and be there in minutes! Walking distance from the beach (Odayam beach better for swimming than Papansam beach - current very strong here). Friendly staff and GREAT breakfast. Rooms are huge and have beautiful furniture. VERY good value for money. The strip with loads of restaurants and shops were a treat at night. Visit the Janardana Swamy temple - more than 2000 years old! Excellent yoga classes available in the area.
