This is an exceptional place and experience. Little Chembaka is very recently built with contemporary design taste using natural and quality material. The garden is kept meticulously. The room is spacious and the facilities are in perfect conditions. The patio offers breathtaking views directly on the backwaters. The Wi-fi is strong. One can go to do the small and private boat tour around the backwaters directly from the property. In addition what makes this stay exceptional is the host Jes and his team. Jes has extensive first hand experience of Europe and its culture, he is an amazing progressive person and a very skilled cook. The meals are the best we have had in our 2+ weeks win Kerala as they are authentic and fresh - you can see Jes cooking in the Wonderwerk purposely designed kitchen at any time. The activities offered are special. A must the sunrise private tour along the small backwaters that can be reached from the property. Especially recommended is the "food and cultural tour (of 6 hours)". Jes, who is native of Kumarakom, takes you to an unmatchable tour of handpicked places that represent the life of the local community (bus, cafes, local school, temple, food markets, frequented by the local people). We have met and spoken to local people and learned a tremendous amount. Top marks for everything!
