We felt really at home in this very nice guest house in Varanasi. The location is very good (close to assi the ghats) and the lady of the house Sona is wonderful. She helped us with arranging taxi from and to the airport and a boat trip on the Ganges. She learned us about Indian culture and we took a cooking class in which she learned us to make traditional Indian dishes like palak paneer and chana masala with her own delicious spice mixes. It was so interestjng that the next day we decided to take another one. She also makes great chai masala. Best place to stay in Varanasi and also if you’re not staying you can go for cooking classes at a very reasonable price.

I highly recommend staying at Shree Nanda Guest House. Everywhere is clean. The service is very kind and helpful. Breakfasts were very tasty. The location is also great, considering that you can take a break from the city centre and it is right next to historic Buddhist buildings. Thank you!

Fantastic place, spacious and clean! Comfortable beds, AC and a huge kitchen to cook in. The living room and dining rooms are great and the area it’s in is local and beautiful. The location was awesome, not a far tuk tuk ride to the main ghats/markets/sarnath. The room was cosy, cold ac, super quiet even with it being loud outside. The common area was awesome. Good wifi, hot shower, great snacks and drinks on site. The best of all was our host Abhishu, he went above and beyond and gave us the most informative and incredible night/food tour of Varanasi, he made our trip 1000x better than if we tried to figure it out ourselves. Do yourself a favour and book a tour with him! The hidden hill top places and front row seats to the evening ceremony, street food & his company were the coolest part about our time in Varanasi. Don’t hesitate to stay here, you won’t regret it.
