This place was what we needed to stay while nursing a cold. The owner made sure we were provided with the comforts and things we needed to nurse a summer cold. Breakfast was exceptional and so was the Service! Well recommended.

We (group of 5) had a great 2-night stay in Kozy Kabin. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay, and the hot tub is amazing. Note the freezer is behind the door in the outdoor area (we didn't realise this until the last day) and the code for the entrance is in an email from Booking.com, not on the booking.com confirmation page (my mistake) Would definitely come back for another celebration or just a relaxing weekend

I recently had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful accommodation and I can confidently say that it was a fantastic experience! The room was absolutely stunning, with a comfortable bed and beautiful decor that made me feel right at home. We had an absolutely amazing stay at Waterford Castle Hotel Lodges. The staff were immensely friendly and helpful at the Waterford Castle Hotel when we checked in. The lodge accommodation is extremely spacious and has all the amenities you need for a very enjoyable stay, including spacious rooms, hair dryers, oven, fridge, indoor and outdoor seating areas and a microwave and toaster. We arrived with minimal supplies as we booked it quite late and there was instant coffee and milk in the fridge when we arrived. We grabbed takeaways from the clubhouse, which were great. The setting is absolutely beautiful with deer, birds, badgers, foxes and other wildlife including a wallaby. It was also quite thrilling having to use the ferry to get to the lodge.

Peaceful location but with plenty of facilities nearby. Had everything we could need at the house if we didn't want to go out. Plenty of space, really cosy and well equipped. Beautifully decorated and furnished. Host was extremely helpful and kept us up to date with info and check in/out details. Would definitely use again.

Thistledown Lodge is truly well located on the South-Eastern coast of Ireland in close proximity to the world's oldest operating & functional lighthouse (Hook Lighthouse) which makes it an ideal location to spend a couple of nights or a week exploring surroundings. The 'Passage East' car ferry service from Waterford cuts down on journey time too and makes for a little sight-seeing trip in itself. Having stayed at many 5-star properties around the world in Dubai, Singapore, Thailand, New York - our room at Thistledown Lodge was furnished to exceptional satisfaction and did not disappoint one bit. We'd upgraded to the bigger room with a bath and shower so we had plenty of space even if we stayed in one of the evenings whilst it rained. Being vegetarian guests with special dietary requirements, we were well taken care of by the hosts with wholemeal toasts, fresh orange juice, potato waffles, vegan sausages, vegan black pudding, baked beans and mushrooms. Everything at this property including their breakfast was served at an exceptional standard and you can see the attention to detail with the amenities on offer like branded cutlery, plating methods, quality of food produce etc.
