The grounds are breathtaking and an absolute pleasure to wander; calm, quiet, and full of charm at every turn. It is the perfect place to disconnect, relax, and soak in a truly magical atmosphere. James has been an exceptional host. The house and accommodation are so well taken care of, with lots of details (fresh flowers and water), and had everything we needed. We will definitely come back ! Besides, we got to sleep in the bed that once belonged to Thomas Lefroy (for the ones who do not know, he was the person from whom Jane Austen got inspired when inventing Mr Darcy in her famous Pride and Prejudice). Definitely felt like being in her novel, staying at this beautiful property ! I'd like to mention that James (host) made our stay at Summergrove House unforgettable. From the welcome drink to the restaurant reservation to the nice breakfast in the morning (see picture) to our lovely conversations in the drawing room in front of the fireplace, we felt spoiled and at ease in this peaceful and quiet estate. Fantastic period house in the centre of a wonderful village. Full of charm, the house lended itself so well to our group booking: fabulous entertaining spaces and relaxing areas, fully stocked kitchen, open fires and beautiful lighting. It was dreamy. The bedrooms are beautiful and the beds are first class. Ross, the owner, is a gentleman and reccomended Bramley and Morriseys and both exceeded our expectations!

Everything was fantastic, it was close to the Slieve Bloom Mountains and it was a perfect place to stay, got take away food without a problem also for they knew were the property was. The hosts were really caring and good people, house was a whole spacious flat with outside areas as well and good parking space.

Having your own separate building provided a very relaxing space and atmosphere. Everything you need was provided, so you had all the comforts of home while being on holiday. Our host was very warm and welcoming and made us feel comfortable immediately. She had stocked the cupboards and fridge for our breakfasts, which was much appreciated. Beautiful facilities. Would highly recommend.
