James has been an exceptional host. The house and accommodation are so well taken care of, with lots of details (fresh flowers and water), and had everything we needed. We will definitely come back ! Besides, we got to sleep in the bed that once belonged to Thomas Lefroy (for the ones who do not know, he was the person from whom Jane Austen got inspired when inventing Mr Darcy in her famous Pride and Prejudice). Definitely felt like being in her novel, staying at this beautiful property ! I'd like to mention that James (host) made our stay at Summergrove House unforgettable. From the welcome drink to the restaurant reservation to the nice breakfast in the morning (see picture) to our lovely conversations in the drawing room in front of the fireplace, we felt spoiled and at ease in this peaceful and quiet estate. Having your own separate building provided a very relaxing space and atmosphere. Everything you need was provided, so you had all the comforts of home while being on holiday. Our host was very warm and welcoming and made us feel comfortable immediately. She had stocked the cupboards and fridge for our breakfasts, which was much appreciated. Beautiful facilities. Would highly recommend.

This is like an extended home with all the facilities. They provided all the kitchen items, nice living room, two bed rooms with all linens, two bathrooms and above all the owner of that property was very kind and helpful.

I really like this place. The host is very friendly and respond quickly. Clean and well equipped. First time live in a loft. Lots of stairs to get to bed. But I like it. The place is warmed up quickly after turn the radiator on. I only realised it’s I turned the light bulb on , which hanging between the two stables in the late evening. My apologies to the people who live in opposite sides. I was puzzled how it could be turned off. The location is very good. It’s between the Kildare Village and Emo Court. 10-15 minutes drive to both places. I am a foreigner, this place is actually quite a distant to Dublin. There is a very good Italian takeaway on the front street. Enjoyed a fish and chips there.

The staff and food were outstanding. The setting was beautiful and we were sorry we had not time in our schedule to explore the grounds more. Paddy is an extremely good chef and Hannah is a welcoming and personable host. Definitely will return!

we stayed here as a group from the uk. over in Ireland for work. we have worked all over Europe for many years and this accomodation has, by far been our favourite of all time. the accomodation itself is amazing. clean, tidy, and has all the amenity’s anybody could ask for. the views from the house are also amazing. set right in the Irish countryside and to top it off. the hosts where absolutely brilliant! nothing was too much of an ask. they really looked after us. we would definitely stay here again! would recommend to anyone.
