A home from home. Beautiful location and idyllic cottage. Evenings by the fire, animals in the day. Chickens, Ponies, Ducks, and the GOAT. Poppy and Pippa the Pooches. My granddaughter loved the farm and feeding the chickens. Great hosts made us feel at home. Cannot recommend Cob Cottage enough. Perfect for a relaxing few days with family and friends. Location is Fantastic, such a beautiful part of the country. The house is very modern with bedrooms on both floors. Kitchen is also very modern and well equipped. A stunning entrance and tree lined driveway leads you to the beautiful old and new house with ample parking. The owners stay in the beautiful old house ( we even got a tour ) while the newer house is located at the rear. Beaches, shops, amenities and of course Mary Barry's ( lovely food ) all close by. The owners were very welcoming and approachable - extremely nice people. Will definitely plan a visit again.

The check-in was uncomplicated, the view was amazing and the room was very big for that money. The village is cute and we had good food in the restaurants there. The trip to Saltee Islands was phenomenal.

We chose Applelea House due to the proximity to the harbour, as we were taking the ferry next morning. Applelea became the cherry on the cake that was our tour of Ireland! Modern, comfortable and both lovingly and luxuriously designed, we felt very well. The supper recommendation was spot on. Our only regrets are that we couldn't stay an extra night and that we didn't have time to enjoy the breakfast. Next time we will!

Lovely accomodation with a beautiful outlook onto a large lawn. Owner was welcoming and all facilities were as indicated. The beds were great, shower hot, kitchen and lounge area was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Martin and Edna were great hosts, we were warmly welcomed and shown around, they also gave good advice on what to do and see in the area. The lodge is set in lovely gardens in a quiet, rural area not far from eating places and historic sites. Our room was well appointed with comfortable furnishings, lots of space and everything we needed for our stay. Breakfasts were delicious with homemade granola, fresh fruit, pastries and a range of other choices for a hot or cold meal. Nick enjoyed an omelette each morning along with generous servings of coffee and tea.
