Very beautiful cottage, equipped with everything you need to be comfortable. A pleasant cottage whatever the weather, with covered or uncovered outdoor spaces, a veranda and a beautiful kitchen. Michael who was there to welcome us is a very nice person who was eager to give us advices about what to do, where to eat and how to really enjoy our stay. First of all, the host is amazing! Bridei is friendly, she wants to let you feel comfortable and welcome. She left breakfast for us with: bottles of water, fruits, juices, bread (she made one by herself), cereals, tea, coffee, eggs… (and she also insisted for us to bring water and fruits for our hiking) The bedroom was not big but was comfortable enough. Really clean and cozy. The bathroom is big and the shower is great! There is a garden table that is relaxing to spend a time there (she also gave a beer to my husband while we were enjoying the relaxing time there). I have just good things to say.

The Hideaway is simply gorgeous. So warm and cosy but really modern without ruining the country cottage style. The host was amazing. Loads of information before we stayed. Simple check-in and check-out. We had bread, milk,cakes and biscuits waiting for us. Also, we left something small but important in the apartment and the host sent it down to us straightaway. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Our stay was an absolute delight! This hidden gem nestled in the picturesque countryside. The mornings were filled with the melodious sound of birds singing, and the peaceful neighborhood ensured a restful night's sleep. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The highlight for our furry friend was the expansive green area where dog could run and play freely. It is a perfect place for fishermen like myself. Based in the middle of the Irish lake district. People are very nice and the place is on the old castlegrounds with beautiful old trees.

Location is a few miles out of Ballyconnell so definitely need a car to get around, however taxis were very easy to get so no issue with location. The cabin is beautiful, so cosy & homely with plenty of space. Beds were comfortable, cabin was warm and clean and the host was so friendly and helpful. The scenery around is beautiful too, overlooking the water and so peaceful.
