We stayed at Casablanca around Christmas time, and from the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome. The girl at the front desk was super helpful - she gave us a map and marked out the best festive spots to visit in the city during the holidays. Thanks to her, we got to explore the main Christmas markets and even had the chance to try some Croatian national dishes at the Zagreb Festival food court. We also enjoyed a concert by the famous Croatian singer Marko Tolya - now he’s going to be on top of our playlists for future trips! It was such a genuine and amazing experience. The room was comfy and had everything we needed for our one-night stay, but it would definitely be great for longer stays too. Oh, and yes, the breakfast! It was such a nice touch that in the morning, when we went down to dine, we were asked what type of eggs we’d like with our breakfast. Then, right next to the buffet, they made the eggs exactly how we wanted. Meanwhile, we enjoyed the other varieties of food offered by the hotel. Such a thoughtful and personal experience! We’ve already decided that if we visit Zagreb again, we’ll definitely book a room at Casablanca.

The apartment is in the heart of Zagreb! You can walk to all the attractions. The Old town, The Main Square, Museums, Theatres, Cathedral, main bus and train stations. Everything is on your doorstep. Even though the building itself is on a busy street, you cannot hear any noises. Located on the top floor with a nice terrace, so you can soak up the sun and watch the skyline. There is a lift, but it stops on the floor below. You need to walk up the set of stairs to the apartment. It is not a big deal, but if you have mobility issues you should be aware. Kitchen and bathroom had everything I needed for my short stay. Double bed was comfortable and wifi worked perfectly. Rea was my point of contact and she was the perfect host.
