We stayed at this beautiful mountain hut near Mestia for two nights and we couldn’t have had a better experience!! The heating worked incredibly well which made it super cozy when coming back after a day of skiing. There’s parking available and the little garden is also very nice. This is a great place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Mestia. Davit is a great host and speaks good English. The dinners and breakfasts were very tasty. I told Davit that I wanted to walk to Mkheri church. He said they had made a new route going up from his village so you could make a loop walk. I loved this route (better to go up this way and down the normal route from Latali). There is quite a bit of ridge walking which I loved.

We loved everything about this home stay. The hostess is amazing and so helpful. She was a local hiking guide at one time, so she is very helpful with planning your day and multi day hikes. The breakfast and boxed lunch was really good and filling. The bed was comfortable and everything in the little village is very close. We will definitely return here with friends!

My favorite stay, it has a nice vibe as it gets busy with more people than the other guest houses (many rooms), and it's a coffee shop too, so hikers stop on the terrace for a break before finishing their hike to the next village. The view is just stunning, opposite to the mountain. I am glad I picked this one instead of the following village.
