That was our best stay in Costa Rica. Julien, the host, has a pure heart full of love for flora, fauna and is a great example of living a pura vida. He gave us best advices of the area, showed us around the property and village. Casa Mambo is very cozy, comfortable and really close to the beach. Breakfasts there were super delicious. We wish we could have stayed longer. Once we get back to CR, we will definately go to Casa Mambo.

We loved Cahuita Inn, it was probably the cleanest and the most comfortable place we had in Costa Rica. The owners were really kind and accommodating, from bringing us food for the kids when we arrived really late to borrowing the thermometer when one of the kids got sick. The rooms were big, spacious and clean. We would definitely return on our next trips.

Selva Madre Eco-Sanctuary is a real oasis of peace just a few km out from the main road and reachable by a very good path (good to know when driving in Costa Rica). Of all our accommodations in Costa Rica, this one was the most nature-oriented. Waking up to the sound of birds singing and howler monkeys was absolutely perfect. We saw toucans and hummingbirds in the garden. Even though the house is right next to the jungle, we really felt safe. The main road along the coast is very busy, so we can only recommend choosing accommodations like this one, which is a little further away from the road. Thank you for everything!

Beautiful property with very friendly staff. The location was fantastic. There is a beach right across the street and the walk to the village was 5 minutes. You can also walk 5 minutes north to Playa Negra. The complementary breakfast was delicious and the hotel has a nice restaurant for dinners as well.

Villa was roomy and private. Grounds were beautiful with pool and zaccuzi. We viewed toucans, sloths, and other wildlife in property. Short walk to Caribbean and restaurants.

The property affords privacy yet we did not feel far removed from neighbors and amenities. Having the bikes was great - we loved the town of Cahuita and were happy we chose that as our base. The villa was spacious and clean - very simple but had everything we needed. Monkeys were a wonderful alarm. When the reggae bar got loud we went down and joined them.
