This is the first 10 I have ever given. The family running the hotel is so kind and welcoming . The views at the hotel are breathtaking. This is also the cleanest hotel we have stayed in across South america and asia. Book your trips through the hotel, they are the same price or cheaper than anywhere else.

Finca el Maco was an absolute surprise. I booked the 2 bedroom house with a king size bed and spa bath. It looked like a fairytale house, something out of Disney World. The interior decoration was amazing. The house had a big balcony with a spa bath, umbrella, lounger and chairs. The bed felt like sleeping on a cloud and we slept with open doors to the balcony. It was nice and cool and we were not bothered by mosquitos. There is a mosquito net but we didn't use it. There was complimentary fruit. The house was surrounded by trees. We stayed here for 2 days and easily could have stayed longer. We had one lunch and two dinners at the restaurant and it was phenomenal. There is no washing machine for guests to use, but they will do your washing for a fee (cheaper than hotels). The staff were very friendly and helpful, but they don't speak any English. They have a fridge filled with beer and cold drinks. You can take as you like and just write it up in a book to be added to your bill at the end of your stay. My sister and I did a comprehensive 34 day tour of Colombia and at the end of the holiday we drew up a list of "bests". Finca El Maco was the winner in 3 categories... The most beautiful accommodation, the most comfortable bed and the best restaurant.

Everything! Hotel Casa de Nelly is a little paradise. My friend and I had the most wonderful two nights there but we could have stayed for much longer! The architecture and décor is beautifully curated to create a natural and homely environment. The garden surrounding the property has the most vibrant colours, you are truly immersed in nature. The staff and the hostel manager Harry especially were extremely kind, generous and went above and beyond to help us have the most memorable stay. Cannot wait to come back!

Just perfect! The location, the ambiance of the house up in the mountain. Not far from town, walkable and there’s everything you need nearby. Good wi-fi, great host and friendly pets made me feel at home! I ended up staying longer, I had an amazing time, thank you Sebastian!

everything was amazing- the apartment was so cosy, and the welcome was great. Angela even came to pick us up from the bus station to show us the place. she even let us have a late checkout no questions asked. the location is amazing right next to the main square and a block away from the bus station. Kitchen was well stocked, and bed so comfy! 1000% loved it

Amazing stay, best kept secret around here. The place is very peaceful, beautiful and the location is great (5 mins walk from the archaeological park). The cabin was very cozy and private, had the creek just in front and you can see/hear tons of birds around, little paradise. If you want a place to relax and enjoy nature, this is it. Carlos the host and all the staff was very friendly and helped us with everything (transport, meals, etc). Don't miss yhe hot chocolate, best we had in Colombia. Great value for money.
