The host and the housekeeper were incredibly informative. The house keeper communicated through translation but her warmth and friendliness needed no translation and we were looked after incredibly well. Between them, they organised all our transport, advised us on the best places to visit and the housekeeper cooked us the most delicious breakfast which fortified us to do a 2.5 hour hike on the Great Wall of China. I would stay here every time if I was wanting to visit the wall and even just as a beautiful place to relax.

Everything. Clear fast communication, the owner speaks English and organized everything for me in great detail. Transport from and back to Beijing was great, comfortable and convenient! The room and the guesthouse were immaculately clean. The food was just AMAZING! I literally loved everything. MUCH MUCH BETTER than a 5 start hotel in my opinion. Highly recommended.

There is only one word that can describe this place: Paradise. I have travelled many countries, and it was at this small little inn in the middle of nowhere that left an everlasting impression. The innkeeper, Xiao Wei, is the most wonderful innkeeper in all of China. She cooks for you like you would expect growing up in an Asian household. The proximity of the place to your own secret 20km length of the Great Wall is the main selling point. In my 4 days here, I went up the wall 3 times because the wall is just in the backyard of this inn. Pretty insane! I also met lovely people while staying there. Chances are, the people that are willing to come all the way out here to Gubeijou will also be very lovely to other guests. I cannot stress how willing I am to return to this inn for a quick getaway whenever life gets tough.

Everything was great!!! We loved our rooms (super quiet, clan and well equipped, with hair dryer, slippers, shower gel, shampoo, towels, etc.) and the rest of the accomodation (well furnished and with a super nice rooftop where we had refreshing beers after climbing the Great Wall). Also the position of the Hotel is great: super close to cable car entrance (both the one leasing to watchtower n. 14 and the smaller one taking to watchtower n. 11). But the best part was having the chance to spend time with the owner’s family: she is a great chef and good english speaker (she cooked for us one of the best dinner we had in China and she gave us some suggestions for our visit to the Great Wall), her husband was super nice and drove us to the Airport after our stay (while listening to chinese music that we loved) and their 10years old child was so nice and spent some time with us during our little apetizer on the rooftop 😍 They were simply lovely and super kind and helpful ❤️ Thank you so much, hope we’ll keep in touch! We’ll recommend your Hotel to everyone willing to visit the Great Wall! 😊

We like this place, the location is very good, walk to the Great Wall very close. We have a very surprised breakfast, very rich dinner. Employees are also great, communication is easy. Help us arrange the car here, the price is cheap, mainly very convenient. It is worth recommending.
