Featuring a garden and views of river, Péniche Spa Le Makara - Avignon is a recently renovated boat located in Avignon, 5.4 km from Papal Palace. A fitness room is available for guests. It was a very special experience for us to sleep on a house boat. The whole family LOVED IT. From the welcome drinks to the accomodation itself. The interieur was nicely renovated and decorated, beautiful details, comfortable beds, good showers, etc. The outside spaces were equally beautiful, the sunrises, the moon reflecting on the water flowing by. And on top of course the private jacuzzi, which can be used for 2 hours at a time in coordination with the hosts. The hosts, who live on the other half of the boat, were very friendly and forthcoming, but also very discreet.

Host was super helpful and full of recommendations and places to visit. We probably wouldn't have visited Villa Carmignac without her suggestion and it was a real highlight.
