A junglalow with a view of waterfall, the jungle sounds immersed in nature. The room is private, super clean and the design of the space is just perfect 🤩 it is a 10 out of 10!!! Saman and her husband were so helpful and kind. The breakfast was awesome… we are vegan and they were very accommodating. Thank you for being such wonderful hosts! 🙏❤️

We stayed one night and Pasi, the host, was very nice and accommodative and made sure we were comfortable. A recommended stay in the middle of town when visiting Ella.

This is a brilliant homestay with just one room with a separate gate , patio, and garden but at the same time attached to the main house. This way, you enjoy full privacy, and at the same time, Lassa and his wife are always a few steps away. The room is sparkling clean, the WiFi fast, the shower hot, the jungle view relaxing. The breakfast is abundant, varied, and yummy. We ended up having dinner at our patio cooked by the family, and I am still raving for their rice and curry. Dinner was also very reasonably priced. The location is excellent as it is tucked away from busy Ella but close to 9 Arches and Adam's Peak through a safe and picturesque jungle path. Oh, and there was a mini bar with drinks free of charge and a bottle of water with every meal. Can't recommend enough!

Situated in Ella, within 4.9 km of Demodara Nine Arch Bridge and 49 km of Hakgala Botanical Garden, Winwood Ella features accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi as well as free private parking for guests who drive. The property is located 50 km from Horton Plains National Park, less than 1 km from Ella Spice Garden and a 7-minute walk from Ella Railway Station. The accommodation provides airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available.

The inn has a desk, a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV and a balcony with a mountain view. We stayed at Winwood Ella for 2 nights, it was easy to get to from the train station in Ella simply a 5 minute drive away just off from the main strip. The hotel is managed by Laal and his wife, who were extremely kind and welcoming as hosts. He contacted me via Whatsapp prior to my arrival, and I was able to communicate with him easily through Whatsapp. The room is on the lower level of the hotel, reached by a flight of stairs. It is a beautifully custom designed room that is made entirely of wood. It is mesmerising to be walk into and be inside, almost as being in a tree house. The room is spacious, contained a small area with a mini fridge, tea/coffee station and a sink. The bathroom is nicely designed, with stone and wood giving it a lovely nature inspired feel. There is a stone waterfall style shower which is really cool. The highlight of the room is a large balcony which overlooks to jungle mountain terrain of Ella, in the mornings and evenings it is absolutely beautiful to sit outside and enjoy the ambience of the animals and the nature, watching the mist roll over the mountains. The host prepares an amazing breakfast spread which is served to your balcony so you can enjoy breakfast with a view. They are really attentive to your needs and cater to your requests. Laal also provided great recommendations about the area, dropped us off in the town for dinner, took our clothes to the launderer and overall made our stay very comfortable and accomodating. The location is fantastic as it is walking distance from the town and nearby attractions, and Laal has scooters for rent from the property. I would definitely visit Winwood Ella again.
