It's perfect for everyone — families, couples, or friends. We had a great time and would definitely recommend it!

This is a beautiful hostel with amazing views and great clean facilities! It’s been the nicest one I’ve stayed in thus far! So close to the beach and great local restaurants! The Surf Lodge is beautifully decorated with a lot of love and taste. It offers amazing breakfast and a direct access to the beach. It is managed by the super kind Che who was always very attentive to help us organize a few things around the area. What we particularly loved about the hotel (apart from the amazing spacious rooms and the delicious (vegetarian) food) was that it is Che’s family home and has such a friendly and calming vibe :) it’s only a short walk to local restaurants and bars and Madiha’s main beach is also only a few minutes away. The hosts, Kasun & Janaka, made us feel like family. The villa has a peaceful, positive atmosphere, and the breakfast was delicious. We shared so many unforgettable moments together—learning Sinhala, cooking, swimming, riding scooters, watching sunsets, and even releasing baby turtles into the sea.
