The gardens and pool are delightful and the food at Panchi restaurant is excellent. The breakfasts, in particular, are delicious and plentiful. Most importantly we were made to feel very welcome and were looked after extremely well. Madura, his family and great team of staff were fabulous hosts. Madura made helpful suggestions for local sights and activities and was always responsive to our queries. We particularly enjoyed visiting the local Turtle Sanctuary, a mindful and ethical way to experience these amazing creatures. The beautiful almost deserted beach can be reached via a short track and, whilst the sea is too rough for swimming, there is a delightful rock pool nearby. She arranged a tour for us for 18,000 LKR, offered us tea in the morning before we left, and kindly assisted and guided us to our next destination. Without a doubt, highly recommended! Also, a very comfortable bedroom, a very clean bathroom (with hot water), a charming balcony, we were surrounded by green surroundings with birds chirping. We were able to see various animals. We had lunch and dinner. Our dinner was full of sea food. It was very tasty. The staff was very friendly and the host was a very kind person. We had a great time at this place. Priya was so kind to pick us uñ from the bus station and take us there again when we were leaving. We stayed at his brothers place, which is very clean and nice. His brother offeres us a fresh coconut and watermelon & woodfruitjuice. Priya also took as on a short trip around the lakes close the the acommodation and showed us some local animals. We also booked the Yala safari through them, all was good organized.

This is the best property we have stayed in the Sri Lanka. Beautiful garden and luxuriously big rooms with balcony. Dumi, the manager helped us with everything and also booked our turtle hatching watching at night. It is very close to lagoon and Rekawa Beach. Quiet Location. Breakfast was so fancy and delicious. Loved the stay and would recommend this place 100%.

I just text Don, when I needed something or had questions. Don drove me and another guest to beautiful diyaluma waterfalls, arranged a canoe for birdwatching on kalametiya bird sanctuary, took care of all transports in town/to Yala using pickme rates, took care of our laundry, even called me when there r nesting turtles on the beach. I saw nesting and baby turtles. His guesthouse is close to restaurants, turtle beach and the lagoon. When my husband needed to see a doctor, he arranged a tuk tuk to take us in town and wait for us. It was perfect for us and we highly recommend Amours.
