He offered me a juice as soon as i get there and gave me great suggestions on what to do in the area. He also has a tuk tuk and is always willing to drive you around the area (he room me to adam’s Peek in the middle of the night) but is no pushy about it. The food I had was great and the apartment looks pretty new and very clean (european standard, i’d say), tidy and smells good. The area is a bit off the beaten track, but worth a trip (tea plantations all around, lake views, nice locals) and is very easy to reach by bus from Hatton.

The hotel is in a very good location, close to the city centre and just a few steps from a superb restaurant, Themparadu. Room was pristinely clean and spacious even though we were travelling as a family of four. The service is just outstanding, we had to completely rearrange our plans due to very poor weather and the manager was extremely helpful and flexible. Communication and support was amazing since the booking til we left Nuwara Eliya. We went for a drive around the town due to poor weather and the driver was a super friendly companion and a good guide, including help on the train station which welcomed us with a closed ticket office and cancelled train.

The hospitality and kindness of the family was really touching. The house is very clean and brand new , you get a large room and large bathroom and there is a living room with sofa and dining table. The place was just 5 minutes walk to the adams peak trail head. Near the house there are a few fancy and local restaurants with mostly foreign tourist. I had , dinner ,breakfast and lunch with the family and the food was so delicious and in a large portion. Also the bus from maskeliya stops very close to the house frequently throughout the day.There is also a bus to colombo at 5.30 am from there which the family even walked me to and i am so grateful to them. This is the perfect and calm place to spend a few days while you are climbing the adams peak
