We really enjoyed our stay. Chaminda is an excellent host. He is very knowledgeable about the area and gave us lots of accurate, up to date information about the area and things to do (much more up to date information than we were able to find online). The rooms are spacious, clean and tidy. The bedding is nice, warm and cosy – perfect for the slightly cooler weather in Nuwara Eliya. The shower had good hot water. The breakfast was nice and always on time each morning. We’d happily stay again.

Dhammika drived us to Uduwalawe and was a great guide with many advices ! The food was excellent, breakfast HUGE and the dinner was the best one we had in Sri Lanka. PERFECT 😍

Zur Begrüßung gab es einen Tee und sogar Kekse und das Frühstück war mehr als ausreichend und lecker! Auch bei der Planung meiner Wanderungen war er mir behilflich. Die Unterkunft ist super sauber und man fühlt sich hier wie zu Hause! Die Lage ist etwas abseits, dadurch aber sehr ruhig. Gerne wieder!

The attentive service and all-round comfort that the Edgware offers were a great way to cap off my wonderful time in Sri Lanka. All the staff, including Lukshan and Ishan were very welcoming, and did their best to make me feel at home throughout my stay. It was nice to have some good conversations with them. I had the opportunity to get an upgrade to a beautifully appointed and spacious room equipped with a high-roofed loft space, which gave off ski chalet vibes. While it was cold and damp for much of my time in Nuwara Eliya, inside it always felt warm and cosy, with nice touches like a virtual fireplace and a heater in my room. They also serve delicious food, including a superb Sri Lankan breakfast and a wide variety of dishes to choose from on their dinner menu, and offered complimentary tea/coffee and cake upon my arrival and when i got back after a morning out. Also they packed a nice breakfast for me for me to collect early in the morning when i headed out to Horton Plains.

Friendly and helpful hosts, explained a lot about the land, offered us torches cause the climb is not lit, when we figured that it was. Clean and comfortable rooms. Loved to see a boiler for a good hot shower.
