Gihan and his wife truly care for all of their guests, looking after their wellbeing and also allowing for independence and privacy. It felt to nice to be well cared for, especially when traveling alone. Gihan can help arrange tours and activities and will take you himself in his Tuk Tuk when available. They have bikes for hire and I enjoyed riding all around Anuradhapura a couple of times. Their food is amazing! In the past they owned a restaurant and it shows. A huge variety and the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka. I am gluten intolerant and they were very accommodating to my diet. You can tell they care a lot about their business, investing in it and caring for their clients. Extend your stay, you won’t regret it. There’s much to see In Anuradhapura and you’ll not want to leave Corner Cottage.

Location was well out of the way with an amazing lake within a few minutes walk with trials to walk also bit perfect for Wilpattu national park. Food was really nice and the room had everything you could need.

Our stay at Swan Lake Habarana was fantastic. Kalhara was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond—organizing a cultural evening, a great safari trip, and arranging tuk-tuks at fair prices. He helped with everything before, during, and after our stay. The guesthouse was clean, comfortable, and surrounded by nature. The breakfast was also very good! Highly recommended!

The owners, Leo and Wanda, couldn’t do enough to help our stay go smoothly. They helped shape are itinerary and suggestions additions that were fantastic, eg Sri Lankan dance show at the cultural centre, organising a fabulous yoga teacher, as well as great safari. Relaxed and happy vibe to the place with lovely pool area.

This eco-lodge is next to the jungle, expect to be right up with nature, which is part of the experience!

The host and hosts family were very very helpful and polite. They helped us in organizing our further adventures. The breakfast was huge and very good. Actually it was like staying in your home. We stayed in a separated little cottage, was very clean, comfortable bed and pillows, it's situated upon the little rock,so you feel the air, and it was not humid, nice garden and absolutely delicious breakfast ( you can order what you wish) and evening meals at a cosy terrace!! And of course wonderful friendly personal, very helpful and sweet! Also important for travellers- free of charge water bottles and !! making your laundry!! Super recommended!!! PS : you can rent the bikes to go to the temples and around the lakes,with we did and liked it so much!

I have nothing but praise for Priyavimana Resort! We stayed in a room with a terrace surrounded by palm trees, where you can enjoy breakfast accompanied by birdsong and squirrels. The owners are very kind and helpful. In addition to the fantastic breakfast (other meals are also available on request and I highly recommend trying them at least once), they were also a great help with excursions and sightseeing. The owner has a tuk-tuk and can easily take you to your desired destination. Communication in English was smooth and without any problems. Cleanliness was of a very high standard. During our trip around Sri Lanka, we stayed at several similar accommodations, and Priyavimana Resort was definitely among the very best, both in comfort and cleanliness. I’d also like to point out that they offered assistance in advance with organizing transportation from the airport as well as to our next destination. If (or rather, when) we return to Sri Lanka, we will definitely stay here again.
