Everything you might need is thoughtfully provided, but what truly sets this stay apart is the owner herself. She is a remarkable woman — kind, warm, and incredibly generous. Despite the language barrier, she went above and beyond to communicate and make us feel welcome. On our final day, she surprised us with a delicious homemade breakfast and even offered us umbrellas as a gift, concerned about the rainy weather. It was all so much more than we ever expected.

The host was wonderful, warm and polite. He even helped me get a cab after my stay when it was raining. This is an old style house and will give you a good experience. You will be on a mattress on the floor which is evident from pictures. I thought the house and old suburb was beautiful. It was my first night in Japan, and although it was a decent walk from the station, it was a fantastic place to stay.

I loved my stay here! The house was very clean, quiet, and had everything I needed. The location is great — very close to the train, yet in a peaceful neighborhood. It’s also close to the airport, though the trip can take a little longer if you go by metro due to transfers. If you’re staying for a short time, this place is a perfect choice. During my stay, I was lucky to experience the Futon Daiko festival, which is celebrated only in the Sakai area. That made my trip even more meaningful!

The rooms were large and many beds for the price we paid, it could have fit 6 people. Small kitchen, 2 toilets and a full bathroom. It is about 2 min walk to the metro with close to many supermarkets and restaurants. The nearby metro allowed us to go to many locations easily by using a one day metro and bus pass. A family run with super friendly host who treated us like a friend. Any inquiry was replied very fast! Yukio and Keiko were thebperfect hosts. We definitely will stay again at the Familiar Inn if we have the opportunity to return to Osaka again. Easy check-in and out.
