Our host, Ms. Claudia, went above and beyond (she even asked what we would like for breakfast — something I had never experienced before). If you are travelling with family, consider bringing a small gift for her — her hospitality is so generous you’ll want to show your appreciation. Highly recommended.

Casa vacanze Aria ligger i Leggiuno, 23 km fra Villa Panza, og har en have, et fælles opholdsområde og en terrasse samt gratis privat parkering. Overnatningsstedet ligger ca. Hyggelig lejlighed med 3 værelse med eget bad og toilet. Vores værelse havde egen altan mod nord. Fælles køkken og stor altan mod syd. Vi var alene i lejligheden. Stedet var en større og dårlig vedligeholdt italiensk ejendom, men det skal man ikke lade sig skræmme af. Der er gratis parkering lige uden for døren. Selve lejligheden er pænt i stand sat og der er pænt rent overalt. Værten havde lagt flaskevand på køl, der var kaffe og te. Sød og imødekommende vært, der tog virkelig pænt imod os trods en meget sen ankomst efter 21.30. Det er en god ide at ringe til den meget søde og engelsktalende vært ca. 15 min før ankomst. Genialt sted hvis man fx er en gruppe, der skal til Italien og cykle el.lign.

Borgo Paradiso Guest House ligger i Maccagno Inferiore, 28 km fra Lugano Station og 30 km fra Centro Esposizioni Lugano. Her er en terrasse og gratis privat parkering samt gratis wi-fi overalt. Borgo Paradiso is located on a rather steep hill and allows a spectacular view over the roofs of Maccagno to Lago Maggiore. Our guest house was more than 100 years old, but nicely renovated. Our 2 rooms were on each side of a fully equipped kitchen with access to a balcony. The rooms had a good size, a wooden ceiling, and very comfortable beds. The bathroom had a good size and even a window! Our host Charlene spoke excellent English and was extremely nice and helpful. She offered us a gift of blueberry jam and honey and a coupon for free ice cream in the village. She also sent us advice for restaurants and which sights to see at Maccagno. Also the farmer who brought the breakfast (with fresh bread, cake, cheese and prosciutto) was very nice and made us feel welcome.

Massimo, Arianna and family arw amazing. They coordinated and accomodated our need for an early checkin. Communication is exceptional. This is a lovely well situated apartment in the heart of Cannobio. We did self checkin from a received video, which helped guide us through the necessary steps upon arrival. They greeted us before we departed from our short stay and their sincere warmth made us wish we could stay a bit longer and share a bit of time with them. The apartment is impeccably clean, thoughtfully/masterfully laid out and supplied with all you require in a beautiful compact space with solid fixtures and just super well appointed. We used the refrigerator to store some cheese we were transporting. There were two sparkling waters in the refrigerator provided gratis, which hit the spot upon arrival. There was coffee capsules for espresso, as well as a variety of teas. The place is compact, yet feels spacious. I could imagine staying here on business or on leisure. The hosts recommended some places to eat and we felt if we had the need that they were always there for us. Understated, yet classic Italian warmth and hospitality. Modern ammenities in a historic Cannobio building with a shared and gated/enclosed courtyard area for those that want to take in the nearby outdoors in nice weather. Highly recommended for so very many reasons! Book with confidence and stay in beautiful Cannobio longer than we did. Among the very best in its class! Enjoy!!!

The apartment was lovely, well (and seemed newly) equipped and very clean, we liked the balcony. Tatiana, the host, and her husband were kind and helpful. Can't recommend this place enough.
