We had reserved rooms with "mountain view", but the rooms were actually on the backside of the building with views of the valley rather than Etna. After much discussion, we were able to pay an extra 20 Euro per room to move to suites with Etna view. The only rooms with Etna view are the three suites with jacuzzi baths, all on the ground floor. The pool is nice, but really doesn't have much of a view as there is a large building next door.blocking the view. The suites were very modern with comfortable beds.

The location was excellent for us, clean, big space, good breakfast. The beach is very close, 10 minutes to walk. But the most wonderful thing was the host, Salvo, a very kind and open heart italian, who made our holiday a real pleasure. We felt like home.

I would definitely move in here. I don't know how many hotel rooms I've stayed in around the world, but this is one of the most beautiful. Wonderfully airy and elegantly furnished. Absolutely ideal, perfect location with a view of the dome and the cathedral. Miraculously, I was here at the time of the Jazz Festival, so the great music was still included. On Saturday evenings, the square is filled with people until late at night, a very nice lively atmosphere. The interaction with the Bar al Duomo is excellent. 👌If you have a passion for really good food and don't consider home cooking style or pizza to be the culinary navel of the world: ALLORO is highly recommended. I had an excellent dinner there and returned to BAROQUE very full and very happy. (And was only hungry again 24 hours later!). Acireale is wonderfully relaxed and has also retained its Sicilian dignity (unlike Palermo, which has mutated into a fast food and party town due to its 6 million tourists every year, who mainly drink and party there). We got this cosy room with all the facilities, very clean and neat. Giuseppe is a very attentive guest and has been very generous with providing details about what to do around or how to manage the local transport.

Nando and his daughter, Carlotta, were amazing. From the very beginning, they responded very quickly to messages and gave us great advice for things to do and places to eat. The room was beautiful and the breakfast provided in the room was great. It’s just outside of the town’s main walking area so it was nice to be away from the crowds.

Our host was very attentive and helpful. We enjoyed our fantastic breakfast under the lemon tree with lots of different local treats. Our host even got us some tickets for the annual film festival in the amphitheater for free.
