Had a fabulous stay. Hosts were accommodating, warm and friendly. Knowledgeable about the area and happy to impart this so one can get a feel for what it's like to live on the Island of Bute. Great breakfasts. Feels like being in a home. Highly recommend this place. Hosts go out of their way. Genuine people. Offered and accepted an upgrade due to cancellation. Waterfront views.

Location, location, location, right on the water front overlooking the harbour with views of distant islands. An easy walk from the CalMac ferry terminal, hop on hop off bus, and well stocked small supermarket. Starter breakfast supplies were very handy.
Could have sat looking at the view forever.

Fantastic wee gem on the Isle of Bute! Gus and Sheree are amazing hosts who made our stay memorable from the welcome gifts to the beautiful breakfast and lunch they packed for us before we left. Attention to detail was as good as any fine hotel we have stayed in, but with the added bonus of the personal touch! We highly recommend the Highlander House

Great breakfast. Great views (when it wasn't cloudy). Kristine was very helpful and friendly, as were her staff. Good size room and fairly quiet (definitely a lot quieter than the previous B&B I stayed in). There's also parking for three vehicles on the driveway.

Location perfect for nearby attractions in Rothesay, lovely to walk home to the b and b along the shore in the sunset. Gus and Sherry were the perfect hosts, Going above and beyond for their guests.

Great location, quiet and relaxing break, wonderful views. Spacious ground floor self catering apartment on front with a private seating area. everywhere was very well maintained and spotless clean. Ferry, shops and eating places cafes within walking distances. Host Sara lives in next door house, she is helpful and friendly without being intrusive.
Breakfast supplies in flat on our arrival. Managed fine without cooker, microwave and toaster etc met our needs.
