Their years in the hospitality industry shine through but mostly their passion for providing a pampered Scottish experience reigns. The house is beautiful; the room is enormous with an even bigger bathroom with separate shower and tub. The room boasts extravagant furnishings and an even more extravagant view of the Scottish Border hills. We were greeted with cheerful, kind, words and gestures that are unmatched (and we have traveled extensively). Love this place and Moffat but especially Karen and David; they are true gems!

The property is non-smoking and is situated 20 km from Dumfries and County Golf Club. Fabulous period house, sympatheticly renovated very tastefully, period furniture was nice to see. Very comfortable period style modern bed. Bed linens were superior quality.. Jo was a fantastic host, full of information and breakfast was excellent.

Chris and Tony are lovely and great hosts , full of knowledge from gretna in the war to the best places to visit and eat. The guest house was spotlessly clean , comfortable and Chris's breakfast was fabulous. The train station was an added bonus , it made it easy to enjoy an evening in Carlisle with the family. There's private parking , lovely walks and it's close to our Scottish family, so we'll definitely be staying again . Just like being at home ❤️

We had a fabulous stay at Islecroft B&B. A beautiful room overlooking the bay with lots of personal touches. Tracey was the perfect hostess & as a keen cyclist herself was able to advise on some excellent off-road gravel tracks above and around St Ninian's Cave & the Kirroughtree area. She also had a wealth of local knowledge about what to do & see & the local restaurants (both the Steam Packet in the village & The Harbour in Garlieston were excellent). We'd definitely recommend staying here.

For visitors looking to embark on day trips to nearby landmarks, the bed and breakfast offers a selection of packed lunches. The Art Bank is hands down the best accommodation I have ever stayed in. I requested a late check in and arrived even later than planned and Ange was very welcoming and showed me around. The room was very spacious, had clothes hanging space and the facilities in the room were exceptional - bottled water, hot chocolate and treats were a lovely touch. The breakfast was amazing and the layout of the dining room was unbelievable. The team at the Art bank are outstanding and I will definitely be returning. As a solo traveller, I felt very safe in this accommodation.

The host was very welcoming, and had provided thorough information before we arrived. I had asked for recommendations for dining, and received a variety of options. The one we chose (Italian) was excellent. We thought the church bells might keep us awake, but they stop after 10, so not a concern at all. Excellent breakfast too. A lovely spot for a stay.
