This family-run hotel is quietly situated in the Upper Bavarian town of Rottach-Egern. It features homelike rooms with a balcony, and Tegernsee Lake is a 5-minute walk away. Everything about my stay was welcoming and wonderful, the staff is professional, helpful and kind. The breakfast was perfect.

A truly special experience even better than I hoped. I came to this hotel alone on my birthday, intentionally taking a break from everything and everyone. I was unsure whether being alone on such a day was the right decision, but now I can say with full confidence that it absolutely was. I am truly happy I chose this place. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff went out of their way to make me feel seen and cared for. They acknowledged my birthday and allowed me an early check-in, which made a big difference in how my day unfolded. Their attention to detail and kindness were felt in everything, from how they communicated (especially important for travelers who might not speak the local language) to the way every part of the hotel was thoughtfully arranged. Despite the awful weather outside, the peaceful, cozy environment of the hotel, the attitude of the staff, and the beautiful little details, especially the amazing breakfast, all came together to make me feel calm, grounded, and incredibly grateful. The hotel is small, but in the best way everything is well organized, clean, and prepared with care. Every little thing is thoughtfully considered, and it’s in those little things that real happiness is hidden. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my birthday so memorable. The property was very well furnished which made for an extremely comfortable and relaxing stay. The facilities provided exceeded all expectations, the stay for us was very scenic, enjoyable and as a result we will be coming back soon!

Nothing better than getting fresh bread at your door for breakfast 🥰 the view from the balcony is amazing. So cozy apartment, everything was so clean, the bed was so comfortable, all furniture and dishes look new and in excellent condition, the shower is wonderful, and the apartment looks overall really nice. The decoration is also of great taste. I felt truly welcomed in this place. Peaceful and quiet location. Perfect to have a peaceful and relaxing time. 🏔️🫶🏽😌☀️🌲🌿

Berghotel Altes Wallberghaus mempunyai taman, ruang tamu berkongsi, teres dan restoran di Rottach-Egern. 10km dari Bahnhof Tegernsee, tempat penginapan ini menyediakan akses ski di depan pintu. The location cannot be beat; mountains on all sides. The dining room is upscale rustic, very charming. Staff very friendly and helpful, food fresh and interesting. The most comfortable comforter on the bed that I've ever had. Loved that our room for 4 had a door for privacy for adults. Shower also great. We hiked Wallberg (bring spikes in winter), and did some sledding (we borrowed their wooden sleds). The whole weekend was cloudy at the lake but not where we were: above the clouds in the sunshine! Staff brought a nice cake for birthday, a surprise.

Great location, walking distance to everything.. got a bigger room, so can't speak of the single room but the double was plenty big 😅 , clean and comfortable.. Amazing hosts, good breakfast.. bicycle place in the locked garage.. Easy to find thanks to large signs..
