Everything! The site was in a perfect location, with an amazing view from every corner. In front is the lake, behind the amazing dense forest, with animals like bunnies who come to visit. And the hike to the waterfall starts from the hotel which is really close. The bar was really cool! The fire pits with the blankets to watch sunset is unique and very romantic. The location was great. Just a few minutes to everywhere; swimming shore, wineries, Ithaca, and the other cozy town nearby. The room was very big and convenient, with a stunning view from the balcony and well equipped. Really recommend this place. In fact, we stayed in a few other locations around the lake, and this was definitely our favorite one.

The hotel is located in an old house with a yard and parking and another adjacent building. We stayed in the adjoining building which included 2 rooms and a large bathroom. It was clean and tastefully furnished

What a gem - it was a beautiful house and such a lovely place. The room was amazing and the bed so comfortable. Breakfast was really lovely. The attention to detail was massively high and we felt so welcomed and even had a gift waiting for us, which was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend. Terri was such a lovely host. Good location as well especially as we were passing through from New York to Niagara Falls.

Everything about our stay at Black Walnut was very enjoyable. This is a beautiful and lovingly restored old house and every detail is intentional. Jen is an absolute legend and was not only super friendly but made really excellent breakfast (very delicious and with local ingredients) and gave us recommendations that were spot-on. We also appreciated having the modern comforts of multiple streaming services and reliable Wifi. The back garden is also gorgeous. Even the cat was friendly. All in all, it was everything you'd want in a bed-and-breakfast.
