It is awesome and we have a great experience. We also very appreciated the host coordinated the local tour that we decided to join at the last minute. We had a fantastic time here! The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The room was spacious and comfortable, perfect for unwinding. The seaview balcony was a highlight, offering beautiful sights and fresh breezes. We also loved the big, spotless bathroom—plenty of space to relax. Highly recommend for a refreshing getaway!

Good hotel, with cheery decor. The host was very accommodating with transporting us to and from the ferry dock (too far to walk). Normally people rent scooters on this island but we could not, so were restricted to things we could walk to. There are a few restaurants close by, and a good snorkeling spot is about 10-minute walk along the coast.

Thee location on this side of the island, especially out of high season, summer is very quiet and peaceful. I could leave my window open at night to hear the sea without being disturbed. Many people hire scooters which would make travelling around the island easy. Since I didn't want to do this I found that there were just enough options of places open to eat that I could walk to, out of high season the road to the hot springs is very quiet and at night it felt safe to walk with a flashlight to the springs. What is important to know is that the owners don't speak any English and didn't respond to my English texts via Booking.com so I didn't realise that I needed to let them know which ferry I would arrive on to meet me. Also they prefer payment in cash although they did managed to take my credit card. I'd get a Mandarin or Taiwanese speaker to give them a call for you the day before you arrive.

I was picked up at the ferry terminal even though I did tell Mr Wang when I was coming! He went to the wharf and had a sign in Chinese and as I passed he asked me if I recognised it. I said no, so he asked me where I was staying. I showed him in English and he said it was his B&B and he woudl give me a lift there. It is only about 200 metres from the ferry! I asked him how he knew, and he said that most people come on this ferry and he knew my age and that I was Western and alone. Also when I did not want to hire a bike he took me to the far end of the island for $NT200 and said if I did not want to walk back over a day as I suggested he would pick me up. He even drove me back to the ferry- 200 metres again. He has reasonable English and gives you his phone number.

Had a wonderful time at Green Island and this place. Owner Jesse was a great host who organized everyhting on spot. The hotel ist strategically located in the busier part of the island with all the infrastructure (harbor, restaurants, shops, restaurants, dive center, scooter rental... ) in walking distance. Nice public area with a sea view terrace on the upper floor.

One of the best hostels in Taiwan. David, the host, is very friendly. He takes an interest in you and is keen to help. I arrived at Green Island with no cash but David let me pay for the accommodation in GBP and gave me change in TWD which was very useful as I was unable to get cash from the ATM and most places on the island only accept cash. The hostel is less than a 5min scooter drive away from the harbour next to a quiet beach so you’re far away from the crowds and town and can see the stars at night.

Great location, close to boat arrival, excellent view of Shilang diving and snorkling beach. Large comfortable room, decoration eclectic. Best of all was extremely helpful and friendly host Yanki.
