I was incredibly lucky to find Hashan’s guesthouse in Bandarawela. It’s not far from the bus station and market, within walking distance. Upon arriving at the guesthouse, Hashan’s mother warmly welcomed me and treated me to an incredibly delicious cup of hot milk tea. The room, though simply decorated, was very spacious. Both the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Breakfast offered a choice between Western or traditional options, and there was a clean water dispenser available. Though the weather wasn’t hot, the provided standing fan was a nice touch. Hashan took me to a fantastic nearby restaurant for a meal. I forgot my charger at the previous hotel, and when Hashan found out, he immediately arranged for a courier to deliver it to my next hotel. His proactive and thoughtful help got it delivered from 100 km away within a day! There was some noise from a nearby school broadcast around 7 a.m., but since I was already up, it didn’t bother me much. Finally, Hashan even accompanied me to the bus station to catch my bus—so grateful! I wholeheartedly recommend Hashan’s service and guesthouse!

We had a wonderful time with such a lovely family! Warm welcoming and always with lovely attentions: fruit juices, tea, advices, tuktuk drives Also the food is amazing! 4 breakfasts and all were different and so good : hoppers, crepes, juices, fruits, burgers, Dahl, Rotti, noodles, toasts and more! The view is also amazing, we saw so many birds! After one week in Sri Lanka this is definetly the best guest house we have had so far. It is a bit far (walking) from the center but this is really not a problem. We highly recommend you to stay there We will miss it for sure
