Great place in the middle of nature. The rooms are quite open, so it's really cool that you sleep in the open air. But it's protected with mosquito nets and the beds also have mosquito nets. The wooden houses are in a forest/mangrove area on the lake, but they still managed to keep it clean! The relaxing areas are really nice and the restaurant is also good. The free kayaks are a plus! The staff is very friendly and a nice owner (who actually also works there sometimes instead of having others work for him all the time. Which doesn't happen a lot!). They pick you up from Rio Dulce for free for check in and check out. Great place to relax and enjoy nature!

Exotic, quiet and restful hostel experience in the lake and tropical jungle. Well managed, Swiss-run, with decking, fans, and comfortable bar and restaurant with a good menu. Free kayaks. Dorms with fans. Staff were helpful in organising trips and shuttles.

Absolutely amazing place, surrounded by the most beautiful nature. There is nothing to do expect going on kayak trips on the river and chilling out by the bar or the hammocks - it is perfect! If you want to rest, this is the place. The dorms were neat - very spacious, protected from bugs and not too hot. I stayed alone in the bed upstairs for the three nights I was there and it was just like having a private room - a crazy cool private room. The staff was really friendly and the food was nice.
