Quiet remote location but easy to find. surprisingly beautiful. The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable but the real gem was the restaurant. The food was beautiful, fresh and varied. The decor was really well done, a very high standard The service in the restaurant was superb, we could not fault a thing and only wish it was closer to New Zealand 😄

The Bar area is absolutely amazing. Food and drinks are great. Staff very friendly and helpful. We loved the big fireplace and couches. The bed was super comfortable. Rooms are lovely decorated.

Loved our brief stay at The Cardinals Hat. Tried to stay a second night but the hotel was already fully booked. Loved the old old building, had a fabulous room with perfect facilities. Delicious breakfast. And the hostess was fun, informative and helpful, totally delightful. Will definitely stay again.
