This is the perfect country pub. It is stylish and clean and the food is excellent, but it is not in the slightest pretentious or ‘gastro’. We ate a delicious dinner, stayed in an extremely comfortable, well decorated and well maintained, family room and ate a hearty, gourmet standard, breakfast featuring local produce. The rate for the room and breakfast was so reasonable it seemed wrong not to be paying more. Best of all, the staff were unusually friendly, welcoming and good with our three, often boisterous, children. They even rang us ahead of our arrival to warn that there was a party being held in the pub the evening of our arrival and letting us know that it might be noisy (which it was not!). I could not recommend this hotel and restaurant more highly.

The property was located in a peaceful residential area. The room we stayed in was beautifully decorated and adequately furnished. We loved our stay and would love stay for longer in the future. We checked out earlier to get a head start on our journey but I spontaneously took a dip in the ocean. Tracy graciously allowed us to use our room again before check-out.
